How it works
Black Friday = fourth Thursday of November + 1 day; Days until = Black Friday − start date
Thanksgiving in the US falls on the fourth Thursday of November, so it lands between November 22 and November 28. Black Friday is the next day, a Friday between November 23 and November 29. The days count is the number of calendar days from your start date to that Friday. Weeks are the days ÷ 7.
If your start date is Black Friday itself, the answer is 0. If it is any later day in the year, the tool moves on to next year's Black Friday. Only whole calendar days are counted, with no time of day involved.

When is Black Friday?
It is the day after US Thanksgiving, which is the fourth Thursday of November. That puts it on a Friday between November 23 and November 29.
Is Black Friday always the Friday after the fourth Thursday?
Yes, by the rule used here. In years when November has five Thursdays, Thanksgiving is still the fourth one, so Black Friday is not the last Friday of the month.
